Channel Letters

3D illuminated letters that make your business unmistakable, day or night.

Channel letters are the gold standard in commercial storefront signage. These custom-fabricated, three-dimensional letters are built from aluminum returns, trimcap, and acrylic faces, internally illuminated with energy-efficient LEDs. The result is a sign that commands attention from the street at any hour.

At Stonetree Signs, every set of channel letters is crafted with care and made to match your brand, and we stand behind the quality of what we install. Letters can be mounted directly to your building's façade or on a raceway (a metal channel that runs wiring and simplifies installation).

Whether you need a sleek, modern look or bold classic lettering, channel letters can be customized in virtually any font, size, and color. We offer front-lit (traditional illuminated face), reverse-lit/halo (light glows behind the letter against the building), and combination options.

Common Questions

How long do channel letters last?

With quality LED illumination, channel letters typically last 7–10+ years and can be refaced to extend their life. LED drivers and diodes can also be replaced if needed, far more economical than fluorescent tube replacements.

Do I need a permit for channel letters?

Most municipalities require a sign permit for illuminated signage. We offer optional permitting services where we handle all the paperwork and coordination with your local government.

What's the difference between direct mount and raceway?

Direct mount attaches each individual letter directly to the building — a cleaner look, but more installation labor. A raceway is a metal panel the letters mount on, which hides the wiring and is faster to install. Both are great options depending on your building's surface.

Do you handle the electrical connection?

A licensed electrician is required for final hookup. You can provide your own, or we can coordinate it through our licensed professional partners for a true turnkey experience.
